About Pattern Transform

Pattern Transform is a multi-function MIDI clip manipulator that is fantastic for creating variations on your ideas. It is probably the most powerful of all of my MIDI Tools. Want to take a beat but just thin it out by removing some of the notes? Or increase the freneticity of the beat by adding more notes? Or create some controlled melodic variation (in key, of course) within the course of a bassline. This device can do all of that, and more.

It has two sections: the first is a pattern generator that creates a mask on top of your MIDI clip. The second is a note modifier that transforms the notes that fall within the "windows" in the mask. Check the video below for more info.

Scale Aware: Live 12 introduced a new scales feature that allows instruments and MIDI clips to be fixed to a specific scale. Phase Pattern supports this new feature, which makes it super musical.

Theme Support: Full support for Live's color themes so that the device matches the look and feel of your Live set.
